Taking ADL's Walk Against Hate

Seeking to raise awareness about bigotry was the goal of the Anti Defamation League-organized Walk Against Hate on October 15, 2023 in Acton. The event, which sought to help create hope in the world, was supported by the Rotary Club of Acton-Boxborough.

The Walk Against Hate began with a rally in the Upper Gym of Acton-Boxborough Regional High School. Participants then walked about one mile to Gardner Park in West Acton for a concluding gathering and song.

This community walk was organized by the Kulanu group associated with Congregation Beth Elohim in Acton. Kulanu mean "all of us" in Hebrew and is an initiative of the Anti-Defamation League to engage synagogues to oppose antisemitism, racism, and all forms of bigotry.

The Rotary Club is one of more than 30 local organizations co-sponsoring Acton's Walk Against Hate. This inspiring family-friendly event brought together individuals of all backgrounds and beliefs.

"It's not just a walk," said Dean Roberts, president of the Acton-Boxborough Club. "It is also an event that demonstrates the collective power of community."
