Veteran's Day Breakfast-- Acton and Boxborough Veterans and families
The Annual Acton Boxborough Veterans Day Breakfast is jointly held by the Rotary Club of Acton-Boxborough and the National Honor Society students of Acton-Boxborough Regional High School. This has truly become a signature event to honor and thank our Veterans.
Nearly 300 Veterans attend annually. Rotarians and friends participate as hosts, along with ABRHS National Honor Society students. The students serve the Veterans breakfast and have a special bonding time, talking with the Veterans about their service and their memories.
Senior Barbecue--for Acton and Boxborough Senior Citizens
Since the mid 1970’s, the Rotary Club of Acton-Boxborough has celebrated seniors from Acton and Boxborough communities by sponsoring a BBQ lunch. This annual tradition, begun by founding Acton Rotary Club member Bud Flannery, started as an outside BBQ lunch featuring Bud's famous grilled chicken. The event has since moved to the Boxborough Regency but retains its traditional menu, right down to the Hoodsies and cookies for dessert.
It is always a packed house, attracting 80-100 seniors from Acton and Boxborough every year.
Annual Financial Support to The Acton Food Pantry
Each year we raise funds to support The Acton Food Pantry. The Acton Food Pantry has been providing food for residents-in-need in Acton, MA and surrounding towns since 1984.
Holiday Gift Giving--at the LifeCare Center of Acton
Every December Santa Claus can be spotted cheerfully greeting nursing home residents in their rooms with presents and hearty wishes for a Merry Christmas. He is accompanied by members of the Rotary Club of Acton-Boxborough, who serenade them with Christmas carols.
This gift giving event is an annual tradition of the AB club, for which members purchase and wrap specifically requested gifts for 4-5 residents. It is a spirited annual community service tradition.
Mt. Calvary Community Supper
The Rotary Club of Acton-Boxborough funded and served four evening dinners at the Community Supper in 2018-2019, providing food and a warm welcome to almost 400 local residents. We look forward to a continuing a partnership.
Annual Financial Support of DVSM
Each year we raise funds to contribute to the work of the Domestic Violence Services Network. DVSM works to end domestic violence and support those victimized by such violence in 13 communities, including Acton and Boxborough; and other community projects.
Celebrating the Seasons at Lifecare
Rotary Club of Acton-Boxborough delivers centerpieces to the Life Care Center in Acton all season long.

Comedy for a Cause--Supports Acton Food Pantry and Community Supper
New in 2019, Comedy for a Cause provided an evening of food, fun and comedy that raised thousands for the local Community Supper and Acton Food Pantry! Generous sponsors and donors of raffle items make this an event that will be popular for years.
Golf Tournament--Supports All of Our Community and Youth Programs
This is an 18-hole golf scramble event, with a hole-in-one car lease prize, raffle prizes and a catered lunch. The tournament is a fundraising event and a great time. All funds raised go to the A-B Charitable Fund, which supports vocational grants, youth leadership programs, senior citizen activities, community assistance, local community projects and international efforts. Wings and Wheels--Supports All of Our Community and Youth Programs
Wings and Wheels, held every summer Thursday, is a car and plane show at Minute Man Air Field in Stow MA, is a fun, family-friendly event. 100% of all funds raised by the Rotary Club of Acton-Boxborough goes to the Acton-Boxborough Charitable Fund, which supports many youth programs from elementary to high school aged students, vocational grants, international relief projects, senior citizen projects and community assistance. Our Global Programs
Rise Against Hunger -- a Hands on Approach to World Hunger Relief
This meal packaging event is always a successful community event, while bringing food, nourishment and hope to the hungry around the world. With the participation of multiple Rotary clubs, community students, friends, families and volunteers from the community, thousands of meals are packaged in minutes. These meals will be shipped overseas to areas of greatest need.
It is a very rewarding event – helping reduce the hunger in the world and bringing hope while having a great time with your family and friends.
Purple Pinkie Day--Raising Awareness and Donations for Fighting Polio Around the World
In 2019, The Acton-Boxborough Interact Club for high school students will hold a dance in support of Rotary's efforts to eradicate polio from the world.
International Relief Programs
In 2019 the Rotary Club of Acton-Boxborough is partnering with our sister club in India the Rotary Club of Pune to lead and fund 50+ pediatric cardiac surgeries in Pune, India.
We are also provide financial support to various international relief efforts by other clubs in District 7910.
